To deliver on this mission the Company has identified five Core Values (Principles of Performance). Each employee is expected to commit to the following principles for the good of the Company and themselves:
Samuel G. Torrice, the founder of the S. G. Torrice Company, is a veteran of World War II where he served in the European theatre. Sam was wounded in action in Italy in 1945, an injury that eventually helped lead to the founding of the company. After returning home from the war, Sam took advantage of The GI Bill to attend Northeastern University to get a business degree.
Using that education, Same became the office manager at BELCO in the early 1950's - a company credited with being the first distributor in New England to focus solely on HVAC. In 1955, Sam left BELCO to run SINCO Supply, an HVAC distributor in Wakefield, MA. The experience at these two companies coupled with his education led to the founding of the S. G. Torrice Company in April of 1958. The entire history of the company is summarized on our Company History Page.
